Oh Yes! Was my first thought about this weeks Listography, I thought that I could name my top 5 biscuits within a minute, however all morning as I've been cleaning, pegging out washing etc., a new favourite has popped into my mind, this has proved to be harder than I thought!
1. Fox's Classic
I remember where I had my first one! It was when I was a little girl, visiting my Nain & Taid in Llanrwst.
This is the one biscuit that I'm not willing to share...bad mummy!
2. Fox's Party Rings
They're just lush & so pretty!
3. McVitie's Hobnobs
This is the one that popped into my mind & I don't know how I forgot it, great for dunking!
4. McVitie's Penguin
A favourite because they remind me of my Dad! He would always leave one out for me with a glass of squash when I would come to stay! I also like the jokes on the side!
5. Shortbread
When its good it's stunning! So simple & so lovely.
The 3 biccies that I feel deserve a mention are Custard Cream, Bourbon & Ginger Nut, it was hard leaving them out & now I feel hungry!
Shortbread is a goodie! I made some myself a while ago and even with toddler 'assistance' they were yummy.
ReplyDeleteHow could I forget Penguins? I always had them in my lunch boxes in the days before the Food Police took over the country.
ReplyDeleteGreat list although have never really taken to the party rings.
Lovely buttery shortbread, love making it.
Wonderful list.
Shortbread...mmmm! x
ReplyDeleteParty Rings! Love them...
ReplyDeleteWe have very similar tastes, and shortbread made my list too.
ReplyDeleteHobnobs are proving to be pretty popular! I love shortbread too, I forgot to add it to my list.
ReplyDeleteSurely 1,4 and 5 arent actually biscuits :) Party rings are pretty damn good though, perhaps it's because it makes you feel like a kid?
ReplyDeletelove how you've managed to 'cheat' the Top 5 by sneaking in 3 'deserve a mention' ones! It's just too darned hard to stick to top 5, ain't it?! x
